The marriages of David Fraser to Eliza (Elizabeth) Fleming and Henry Charles Fraser to Ann Jane Fleming(both brides from the Sandholes area) which has established a strong family link between the Fleming - Fraser families. The surname Fleming is extremely well known in the area and indeed the Sandholes Presbyterian Church Cemetery (just next to the church) has a large number of Fleming graves with dates ranging from the early 17th C.
